Parents and carers of new babies invited to weekly playgroup

Parents and carers are invited to Move and Groove Playgroup in Bright and Myrtleford, where they can share songs and nursery rhymes with their babies in a safe and supportive group environment.

24 January 2025

Move and Groove Playgroup is specifically designed for parents and carers of babies aged 0-18 months, delivered by a qualified facilitator through Alpine Shire Council's Maternal and Child Health program.

The Playgroup is held in both Bright and Myrtleford on a weekly basis and is free to attend.

Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, encouraged new parents and carers to take advantage of this free opportunity to socialise their babies in a supported space.

"Move and Groove Playgroup is a casual way to meet other people with young babies in a fun and judgement-free environment," she said

"Every session is organised and facilitated by a qualified member of Council's Maternal and Child Health program, so all you have to do is turn up."

Move and Groove Playgroup is held all year round, including school holidays, in Bright and Myrtleford at the following times and locations:

Bright | 10am every Monday at The Pavilion in Pioneer Park

Myrtleford | 10am every Friday at Myrtleford Library
